Design and application of two-stage explosion-proof solenoid valve in large flow water heater

   At present, most flue-type large-flow water heaters above 10L use ordinary solenoid valves to control the opening and closing of air passages. Therefore, when using water heaters in winter, they will hear a lot of deflagration sound. This is a common fault of flue-type large-flow water heaters at present. In Europe and Taiwan, pressure differential valves with mother fire tubes are mostly used to prevent deflagration sound. But the production cost is high and the controller is complex, so a low cost and high quality valve is designed to replace the differential pressure valve in order to reduce the overall cost of water heater and improve the competitiveness of water heater in the market. In the following, I will tell you about a solenoid valve that can meet the above requirements. I call it a two-stage explosion-proof solenoid valve (also known as a dual-channel explosion-proof solenoid valve). This solenoid valve can achieve explosion-proof purpose without changing the structure of the valve port on the current water heater, and can be directly replaced. The voltage can also be designed according to customer's requirements. Next, I will illustrate the basic functions of the system with legend.

Explosion-proof solenoid valves

   

The solenoid valve designed by our company divides the size of the valve. When the water heater is just opened, it first outputs a small current to the solenoid valve, and moves the solenoid valve a small distance, so that the gas flow through the valve is very small. At this time, the fire ignited by the water heater is not big. We call it a small fire state. When the water heater senses a small fire. When the controller is informed to output a large current to the solenoid valve, thus opening the large valve, the gas flow through the valve will reach the maximum, so the water heater will change from small fire state to large fire state, so as to prevent the water heater from deflagrating, especially in the northern region in winter.


As can be seen from the figure above, when the solenoid valve is in the power-off state, the solenoid valve size valves belong to the valve-off state, closing all channels, gas can not flow through the valve; from figure 2, when the solenoid valve passes through a small current, the solenoid valve produces a small magnetic field, which moves the solenoid valve for a short distance, then gas. The gas flowing through the valve is very small and ignited by the controller in the water heater, which can only form a very small flame and can not reach the deflagration gas. Therefore, it can prevent the water heater from blasting because of the cold weather, and the burner in the water heater will not produce the sound of flame explosion because of the instantaneous inflow of a large amount of gas. When a fire occurs, the controller outputs a large current to the solenoid valve, which generates a large magnetic field and opens all the solenoid valve valves, thus achieving the normal state of fire in the water heater. In this way, we can achieve the prevention of deflagration of water heater.
